Aeroseal®

Did you know that three out of four homes experience up to 40% leakage of conditioned air through leaks? This leakage negatively impacts customers in 3 ways:

  1. Energy waste - Duct leaks cost Americans an estimated five billion dollars every single year. How much are you paying to heat and cool your attic or crawlspace?
  2. Poor Indoor Air Quality - To make matters worse, these same air leaks give dust, dirt, and insulation fibers an easy pathway from your attic or crawlspace directly into your living area.
  3. Lack of Comfort - Most homes have at least one room that stays a little warmer in the summer and a little cooler in the winter than the rest of the house. Could it be that the conditioned air for that room is going into the attic instead of the room itself?

Previously sealing these leaks was next to impossible, short of ripping insulation off of ductwork and sometimes even tearing sheetrock off of walls. That was before Aeroseal®.

Aeroseal Certified Duct Diagnostics & Sealing can seal in your comfort, efficiency, and air quality by sealing leaks from the inside out. You'll save money on utility bills, experience more comfort through the home, and minimize dusting. Aeroseal is a safe, smart, and effective solution to improving indoor air quality, maximizing the life and efficiency of your home comfort system and enhancing your overall comfort. Additionally, Aeroseal provides a 10 year limited warranty on each sealant job.

The Aeroseal Process

Step 1 - We bring our duct leakage diagnostic equipment to your home to determine the amount of existing duct leakage. The diagnostic analysis will utilize a combination of methods including visual inspection of exposed ductwork, as well as the use of high tech instruments such as flow hoods, blower doors, and infrared cameras.

Step 2 - With your approval, we will schedule our Aeroseal team to make the repairs. The Aeroseal system delivers dry adhesive particles throughout your ductwork until they find the leaks and fill them. The adhesive particles can fill gaps as wide as 5/8". An Aeroseal job typically takes a full day to complete.

Step 3 - As the adhesive sealant is injected into the duct system by a computer monitored fan, real time leakage is displayed on the monitor. Upon achieving the acceptable leakage rate, the system is shut down. A Certificate of Completion is generated verifying overall sealing results.

Step 4 - Enjoy lower utility bills, cleaner air, and more comfort. Oh, and don't forget to brag about it to your friends and family.
